I have to admit, I’m a little disappointed. At first glance, I thought the GIF in the top left said “Hot Dogs, Dudes!” Just looking for things to let myself down over now.

Everyone should also be watching Girls on HBO. It’s a really smart, really funny show that’s kind of unlike any other show on television right now. Probably feels that way because it’s centered around younger people and doesn’t actually feel like it’s telling you total bullshit in the stories. Everything just feels authentic.
So I guess Kristen Wiig is leaving SNL, and there are rumors that Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis are leaving as well. Jason Sudeikis looks supremely bummed in this whole thing. Everyone else starts dancing and singing at the end, but he just hangs back by the band not doing much of anything. Strange.
Most of Kristen Wiig’s stuff on SNL has been pretty boring/un-funny for a while now, so I don’t think her absence will affect anything too much. Samberg and Sudeikis leaving would totally stink, though. Digital Shorts are almost always funny, and Sudeikis is one of the funniest guys around these days.
Really, though, it makes it pretty obvious that there are some major holes in the SNL cast. Wiig was the major female part of the cast, and there isn’t really anyone currently on the cast who could really take that spot. No major “star” or whatever.
And now I’ve spent too much time thinking about television today.
Jon Hamm just shows up on SNL whenever he wants and it rules.
Also, am I the only one who can’t stand Vanessa Bayer?
It’s way funnier than the first time I tried to watch it last year.
Why does Daphne do all of the cooking and cleaning for Frasier and his father? She was hired as Frasier’s father’s caretaker, not as an all-around maid/chef/whatever. Why did she just get lumped into this role of taking care of all of the household duties? It’s like the writers just got lazy and forgot what she was actually there for.
Might as well watch more Frasier before bed and keep pretending I live in stinky Seattle.
