comic sans always screams fun

I think I’m gonna try and get my knuckles tattooed when I visit Plattsburgh next month.  I’ve wanted “TYPE FACE” on my knuckles for a couple of years now, but I’ve always been apprehensive about doing it.  Now that I know I could do freelance work if it really comes down to, I don’t really need to worry about a possible employer’s opinion.  Also, I have this weird notion that, if I were applying for a design job, the employer would find my design-related tattoo endearing.

Anyway, the biggest hurdle I’ve come to is picking a font.  I prefer sans-serif fonts all the way, but how do they look on knuckles?  Are they too big and blocky and silly looking?  Most of the knuckle tattoos I’ve seen are serif fonts or the “tattoo” font (http://www.tattoodesigns101.net/tattoofonts/tattoo-fonts4.png).  I’m not opposed to a serif font if it’ll look better and hold up better, I just want to make an informed decision before I do this.

So, any tattoo nerds that follow me/read this - what’s your opinion?
